Aegina is sourounded by small and big islets, which you can visit with a motor boat. Clean beaches, picturesque coves, green-blue waters which will make your time worth while.
The islet Moni is located across Perdika village, only 8 minutes away by boat. It is uninhabited from people with only animals like deers, squirrrels and peacjocks being there waiting to be fed. Its largest area is covered with pine forest. The beaches have got deep clean waters, ideal for scuba fishing. Also there are beaches with sand from the other side.
Moni is full of green, with an organised sandy beach and many other places for swimming, fishing, picnic and hiking. There are 2 snack bar, electricity and telephone. From the Easter until the end of September there are regular schedules from the port of Perdika.
The small island of Metopi. To the island there is the Church of Agioi Theodoroi. It has got a very beautiful small beach with white sand and shallow green-blue waters.
Agistri island is a beautiful and ever green popular island with good tourist infrastructure, picturesque beaches, ideal for a daily excursion. The trip lasts for only 15 minutes.
Behind the island of Agistri there is the island of of Aponissos. Pine trees go all the way down to the beach and end up on small flat rocks. Its small bay is used for anchorage by small and bigger boats. There is an organized beach with deck chairs and sea sports.
The small island of Dorousa, to the south-west of Agistri. There is the Church of Prophet Elias there. Its beaches are rocky with deep waters, ideal for scuba fishing.
The small island of Kira, close to Agistri island. It is uninhabited. it has got 2 small beaches. On the islet there are rabbits.
The small island Spalathronisi. It is uninhibited and has got around it other small islets.
Other small isolated and uninhibited islets close to Aegina island are Lagousa, Platia, Ipsili, Anagnostis and Kourmoulades. As we moving closer to Peloponnese, we can meet the islets of Agios Thomas, Agios Ioannis, Meladi, Prasou, Ledou and Tragonisi. |
