VATHI

Vathi is one of the largest settlements in Aegina island, with old rural houses. It is located after Leonti area and before we reach Souvala. In Vathi, the old times, the locals were occupied with the agriculture and the olives. Today most of the locals are occupied with tourism, mostly in Souvala.

In Vathi there is the Temple of Agia Trioada (Holy Trinity) and the small church of Prophet Elias, which is located to the top of the hill above the settlement. From there the view is panoramic. After Agia Triada, outside Vathi, towards Leonti, is the woman Monastery of the Virgin Mary the Liberator.
